Ryan Fisher

Hello, my name is Ryan Fisher.  I am from Hurricane, WV and have lived here my entire life.  I attended Hurricane High school and graduated in 2019.  As a high school student, I also played on the mens’ soccer team.  My tenure there included our team winning a WVSSA AAA State Championship.  In addition to that I was honored to be awarded several other awards related to my performance on the team.  My freshman year and first semester of my sophomore year, I was a student athlete at West Virginia Wesleyan College.  The second semester of my sophomore year, I transferred to Marshall University.  My experience at Marshall has been positive thus far.  I am part of the men’s soccer team and the first semester I transferred we won a National Championship.  Despite the challenges with Covid-19 and online classes, I have thoroughly enjoyed most of my classes and am thrilled about earning a bachelor’s degree in finance and pursuing a MBA.  I have had a couple part-time jobs throughout the summers since I was sixteen years old.  My employment included working at RJ Recycling LLC, coaching and training children in soccer, and shopping for Instacart during Covid-19.  During these different jobs I was able to take various scenarios and apply them to the real world experience and everyday life.  I’ve become keenly aware of planning and learning to work with people from diverse backgrounds with different needs.
